AuthorJeffEyesRimmer Its coming up to the summer holidays (or winter holidays down under) but as the football season comes to a close (mostly) our attentions turn to trips away to beautiful places throughout the world. While many footballers will be heading for the posh resorts they may find few views better than the ones they already enjoy at work. Here are few amazing, picturesque football pitches from around the world that we really wish we could go play a game on. Monaco’s Training Pitch Ok so this one inspired this list. The principalities training pitch is spectacular and enjoys views across the Mediterranean Sea. No wonder Monaco won the French league this year, look at that for motivation! The Adidas sponsored pitch is located atop the Tokyu Toyoko department store, right next to Shibuya Station. The best bit is that you can reserve a place to play on this pitch too. The stadium is located on a portion of one of the islands that makes up this archipelago. Surrounded by the Fjords that the area is famous for I think this might just be my favourite pitch in the world. Just amazing. Image: Pinterest Central Coast Mariners, Gosford, Australia This is actually the only pitch on this list I have been to. The Central Coast Mariners home ground located in Gosford is around 1 hour north of Sydney in Australia. It’s on this list because one end of the pitch backs onto the South Pacific Ocean and has palm trees along the back of the goal. Its lovely to sit and watch the football, beer in hand as the sun sets behind you. There might not be many supporters in the ground but what a view. Are there any other pitches that you have photos of or have even been to? Send them to us and we will post them on our Facebook page. |
