AuthorJeffEyesRimmer That’s a wrap, the season is over and it has been an interesting season. Many will wonder whether the EPL this season was actually any good but I would say it has been a good season. Man City were quite simply brilliant, Wenger’s final goodbye, all the promoted clubs staying up, Mo Salah being amazing and Swansea were relegated. All good!
The EPL season contributed to a great Fantasy Football League this year too and we saw plenty of ups and downs.

Well that’s the penultimate Gameweek over and done with, the end of the season is nigh. It has been a long and gruelling season; many have fallen by the wayside in pursuit of the title. Many seem to have given up a few weeks in!
Our current champions have been dethroned and a new champion will be crowned on Sunday. AuthorJeffEyesRimmer
It has been a few weeks since our last fantasy football update but in all honesty we thought this title race was over three quarters through the season. Actually we thought it was over half way through the season too but on both counts we have been proven wrong.

Yes, fantasy football is back, well this update anyway. It’s been a while purely because not much was actually changing in the league. However, over the past couple of weeks that has all changed.
We have some big movements at the top of the league and it was time that recognition was given. Those managers have been working hard all season and its paying off. AuthorJeffEyesRimmer Big Gameweek this week, with the average points haul being a respectable 50 points. We have a bit of a breather this week to take stock of the league, with the EPL not resuming until next Tuesday due to the FA Cup being on this weekend.
With the news that Sanchez has finally moved to Manchester United will managers jump on to sign him up? It seems that this week managers have been reluctant to do so. AuthorJeffEyesRimmer
Things have returned to normality a bit since the crazy festive break, so I am aiming to have more regular updates for the remainder of the season for you all.
Harry Kane continued his good form, West Hams resurgence also continued with Arnautovic and Lanzini putting in good point hauls and West Broms central defenders are back. There is transfer talk that Alexi Sanchez will be heading to one of the Manchester clubs; this could prompt plenty of managers to plump for the Chilean. However, over to the league and some big news! AuthorJeffEyesRimmer
It’s been a crazy Christmas and New Year from Gameweek 19 through to 22. With the games coming thick and fast it was impossible to provide updates, no wonder there are calls for a winter break.
There have some been some magic performances over the Christmas break, Harry Kane reminded us all of his brilliance with back to back hat tricks, one Jack Wilshere has shown form that might get him on the plane this year to Russia and Mo Salah continues to dominate. AuthorJeffEyesRimmer
Another combination this week and it is due to those pesky midweek games again. It really does mess up the schedule.
Gameweek 17 and 18 saw Coutinho continue his recent good form with him picking up good points hauls. Huddersfield again had several players get into the team of the week (Gameweek 18), with Mooy and Depoitre returning double figure point hauls. West Ham also continued to improve with Lanzini bringing in the highest points total (15 points), although he will now be suspended for a while after that awful dive. AuthorJeffEyesRimmer
I have combined Gameweek 15 and 16 together this week because there just wasn’t that much change between those weeks. Little bit different after round 16 now though, there’s been quite a bit of movement throughout the table!
Mo Salah was at his typical brilliant best this week. Also brilliantly three Huddersfield players performed highly to get into the team of the week, with Schindler, Zanka and Mounie all returning double figure point hauls. We also had a strange entry into team of the week, with a West Ham player (Ogbonna) making it in?! The average points haul this week was only 43 and the majority of managers in our league broke that barrier (good work all). AuthorJeffEyesRimmer
Well Gameweek 14 snuck up so fast it had been and gone before I had a chance to check my team! I get thoroughly confused by English Premier League being played in the midweek; it should be for European football and Football League only!
But we had a full set of fixtures the past few days and there was some stand out performances this week. Mo Salah came off the bench to smash in a brace, much too many a manager’s delight. Wayne Rooney showed that class is permanent and form is temporary and Sterling continued his excellent goal scoring form. |
