AuthorMichael Wallace At the beginning of the 2017-2018 season Michael looked at the United team and provided his thoughts on the first team.
You can read that article here Well Michael is back to review the team and provide thoughts on what might happen for next season. Over to you Michael AuthorJeffEyesRimmer They once mixed it with European elite, but have suffered liquidation, limped back from the grave, fought their way back up through the leagues and now sit second in the Scottish Premier League.
Rangers are a club trying desperately to reclaim its former heights, could they reclaim top spot in Scotland once again? AuthorJeffEyesRimmer Over the past several seasons, three in fact, a behemoth of a European football has been missing from the Champions League – AC Milan.
It has been a great shame that AC Milan have not been in the premier competition in Europe, especially for someone who grew up during the 1990s watching some of the legends of the game play for the Rossoneri. Players like Paolo Maldini, Clarence Seedorf, George Weah and Filippo Inzaghi. The club is the fourth most successful club in the world, with 18 officially recognised UEFA and FIFA titles and so seeing this great club going through hard times has been quite sad. AC Milan’s last title victory came six years ago and since then they have dropped substantially with their final league positions being 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 7th and then finally 6th this season. AuthorJeffEyesRimmer It was the story that united the football world late last year, the airplane crash in Colombia that led to the deaths of 71 people, including 19 players and staff from Brazilian club Chapecoense when they were heading for the Copa Sudamericana final. From the 77 people on the plane, only 6 survived, with three of those being players.
So five months on from that crash how have Chapecoense done, how have the club begun to rebuild after such a horrific crash? AuthorSports Billy There’s no denying that certain clubs out there are a lot “cooler” than others; however, how do these sides differentiate from other more “mundane” and mainstream sides out there? Now I don’t want to sound like a tragic parent by using the word “cool”, but I couldn’t think of a better word that sums up that certain something that some teams have.
Is it a kit that makes a club cool? Some of the world’s great sides hold a certain mystique due to their iconic strip – a uniform so distinct and unusual that just seeing it conjures up memories of amazing past performances. AuthorJeffEyesRimmer Tis the season for some festive football fun! Christmas time brings a tonne of football at us in a short period of time and we love it and what team has more cheer than any other this time of year? Well it’s got to be FC Santa Claus!
AuthorJeffEyesRimmer So our first club feature on this page was on the oldest club in the world – Sheffield FC. So the question for us was how do we follow on from the oldest club in the world? Well how about one of the youngest clubs to be formed and one that goes against the traditions of the established football pyramid?
AuthorJeffEyesRimmer Welcome to Football Outcasts, we are hoping that this article will be the first of a regular and enjoyed feature on our page talking about various different clubs around the world. We will aim to bring articles about less heard about teams, cult teams, local sides and generally teams that we have always found interesting and entertaining.
