AuthorBoth Outcasts The new Football Manager comes out later this week and we are very excited to get ourselves immersed in the new game. While there are plenty of new features we are, as always, most excited about guiding our favourite teams to glory. While Liverpool and Cardiff are typically our first save games we had a think about the other clubs we were looking forward to attempting to manage. Below are just a few we are looking forward to taking over. Rangers Back in the Scottish Premier League after a four year absence this season poses a great opportunity to rebuild the most successful club side in the world. Not a lot of money at your disposal in all likelihood but a chance to topple the old enemy Celtic and lead Rangers back into Europe will be a fun challenge. This is possibly a challenge for the ‘wheeler and dealer’ type of manager. Valencia In real life they have struggled with successive managers but with a quality team, big supporter base and brilliant stadium this could be a great chance to break the dominance of Barcelona and the Madrid clubs. They don’t have a lot of money to spend either so this could be a good chance to use the good youth facilities at the club and bring through the next wave of awesome Spanish players. Newcastle Utd Recently relegated Newcastle should be a straight forward first save game. They have the money, the squad and stadium to be able to cruise the second tier of English football but it’s never that easy. Can you meet the expectations of walking the league and get them back into the English Premier League and then more importantly keep them there? Parma Calcio 1913 In it for the long game? Then the new Parma club could be the team for you. Starting back in the third tier of Italian football after the original Parma went out of business this game will be a top to bottom rebuild. Can you manage this club back to the big time? It will be a hard slog back to the top division. This should be a fun game for those that enjoy the lower division challenges. We are going to give it a shot. Paris Saint-Germain While this seems like an easy one with the vast sums of money PSG have at their disposal the team is going through a transition period. Can you continue the success in the league and bridge the gap at the European level? Interesting League with a few new challengers should be fun. Those are just a few of the clubs we are looking forward to managing. What other teams are you looking forward to taking the managers hot seat, any interesting challenges that you can think of? Let us know. Image by: SI Games from Flickr
