I have combined Gameweek 15 and 16 together this week because there just wasn’t that much change between those weeks. Little bit different after round 16 now though, there’s been quite a bit of movement throughout the table!
Mo Salah was at his typical brilliant best this week. Also brilliantly three Huddersfield players performed highly to get into the team of the week, with Schindler, Zanka and Mounie all returning double figure point hauls. We also had a strange entry into team of the week, with a West Ham player (Ogbonna) making it in?! The average points haul this week was only 43 and the majority of managers in our league broke that barrier (good work all).
Speaking of barriers though, we now have two teams (yes the ones you expected) breaking the 900 point barrier.
Florence and Mark Affleck lead the league, putting in an above average performance of 63 points, Kane and Otamendi putting in the key performances to keep their lead at the top to above 60 points. They are managing to keep up the good form that took them to the top, consistency is the word. Just to put that into perspective, Florence is on 968 points and the overall leader of the whole world is only on 1085 points. That puts Mark in the top 1500 players in the world all. Amazing stuff. Brian Gleeson and the Storm Riders have also broken that 900 point barrier and sit comfortably in second place. Lets be honest we all knew Brian would be up here its whether he would be challenged and he is at the moment. Only a good thing Brian, nobody wants to see a runaway title race (Man City!!!). Mani P obviously didn’t like dropping out of the top three, with him just nipping above Football Outcasts very own Farcelona back into third, manager Hale losing third place by 2 points this week. Plenty of chopping and changing throughout the top ten too, with AlexanderPlatz, Verma FC and All Blacks United dropping to be replaced with Matthew 22.37, Bacuna Nakata and Danger Here. It seems all these teams will be in the mix come the end of the season.
A team to watch though will be Tauway Bears, with manager Wayne Smith. They started poorly but have clawed their way up the table and in November recorded the 5th highest points total in the month. They are a team in form.
While the top of the table is in a bit of flux there are changes at the bottom too! Xcellento FC is officially off the bottom of the table, an above average 50 points haul sees them overtake Mayor Team. Manager Xcellento can have real hopes of pushing up the table now; they are only 15 points behind the next two sides. Managers Lacazette and Sing will need to be wary. Cambridge Skulls and Pecel Lele Utd have both dropped badly these past few weeks and are in danger too. Although we can forgive Hale the younger falling a bit behind, he’s been enjoying the great beach weather and smashing it at cricket so it’s understandable the teams dropped a bit and to be honest we wholeheartedly encourage the lad to be outside.
In scouting news the top players that are coming in are:
1. Otamendi 2. Kane 3. Calvert-Lewin 4. Austin 5. Son Those that have lost favour with their managers this week are: 1. Ramsey (injured) 2. Morata (anyone know why?) 3. Lukaku (can’t hit a barn door right now) 4. Aguero (in and out of the Man City team) 5. Callum Wilson (everyones off the bandwagon) Plenty of new names coming into the fold this week, we could potentially see some new high scoring players coming into form and that could mean opportunities to catch up with the leading pack. Remember we still have a long way to go in the season! An interesting new player coming in is Calvert-Lewin; the young English striker is starting a few games now under Big Sam at Everton. Charlie Austin could be a good investment now that he is over his injury problems too. Heres a quick update from the Scouting Youtube Channel, FPLtips for Gameweek 17 for you:

Not much change happened between weeks 14, 15 and 16 so hence the combined Gameweek here everyone. Midweek game this week so expect some weird points returns. Thanks all Tom
