Yes, fantasy football is back, well this update anyway. It’s been a while purely because not much was actually changing in the league. However, over the past couple of weeks that has all changed.
We have some big movements at the top of the league and it was time that recognition was given. Those managers have been working hard all season and its paying off.
We are coming to the pointy end of the season so the race for the top four is hotting up. No European places on offer but glory and prestige counts a lot among football fans.
Still sitting at the summit is Brian and the Storm Riders, they have been there for several weeks now and you can blame Brian for the lack of updates here (cheers Brian) as its been boring to write about the same person at the top, not that I think Brian will mind. It’s been a top effort from the Storm Riders though who now are only 100 points away from breaking the 2000 point barrier. Let’s put that into perspective, out of over 5million managers across the world, the Storm Riders are in the top 5,000 managers. If we had a hat we would doff it to you Brian.
However, a dark horse in Verma FC has risen up the table, slowly going about their business with ruthless efficiency. They have been in the top five for some weeks now but have leapt up into second place and are hunting down the Storm Riders. The gap has closed to 43 points, thanks in part to an amazing March point’s haul of 226 points so far. Manager Verma is a fellow football blogger and is showing that at least he knows what hes talking about (unlike Joe and Farcelona). The Storm Riders saw off the challenge from Florence and Koom, can they put Verma FC back in their place?
And what of Florence and Mark? Well they have crumbled under the pressure, they have done a Newcastle and let slip their once unassailable lead and have dropped down to fourth. So far have the mighty fallen that even Optics United could overtake them in 5th. Can Mark stir his beleaguered squad for one last push? We wouldn’t count them out, they did hold the top spot for the majority of the season after all.
Down at the bottom there hasn’t been any changes, although Gunners Down Under have moved up a spot thanks to a woeful points haul from Gazzas Fishing rod of 2 points! Is that the lowest points haul all season, we here at Football Outcasts HQ will have to fact check that.
Players that seem to be manager’s favourites for the upcoming week are: 1. Aubameyang 2. Lukaku 3. Son 4. Firmino 5. Vardy Those that have lost favour with their managers this week are: 1. Kane (Injured) 2. Agüero (Injured) 3. Shaqiri (Stoke are rubbish) 4. Jordan Ayew (Injured) 5. Wilson Here are a few players to watch courtesy of FML Tips:

As the season draws to a close I will be providing more updates, we will crown our Champion and provide a full table finish for everyone. Tom
