AuthorJeffEyesRimmer Thank the football gods that club football is back. It feels like ages since the last Gameweek. Thankfully the international break is over and we won’t have to worry about one of those until March next year now. On to Gameweek 12! It was a high average point’s week for this Gameweek with 56 points being the average haul. We had some familiar faces making the headlines in Gameweek 12, with Paul Pogba, Mo Salah and Eden Hazard producing the goods this week. Oumar Niasse continues his good form and contributed well, another striker that might be back is Lukaku. Another player making headlines was Callum Wilson, with many managers jumping on the bandwagon and transferring him into their teams. Did some of you read through our tips article (here) for some help as it seems like some managers points hauls went considerably up this Gameweek? Florence the Eagle and manager Affleck continue at the top but this week has seen their lead at the top cut from 54 points to 33! For the first time in weeks the top spot is in touching distance of another manager. That other manager is a familiar name and one that will bring collective groans from many managers down the league – Brian Gleeson and the Storm Riders are hitting their stride. A massive 109 points in Gameweek 12 has seen the Storm Riders surge up the table into 2nd place, displacing Mani P who drops to third. Manager Glesson has recorded the highest points total in a single gameweek in our league so far this season; can anyone stop their march to the title? Im sure Florence will having to say about it. There is no other change in the top 5, with Wanyama Believe It and Verma FC holding onto their positions. AlexanderPlatz has leapfrogged Bacuna Nakata into 6th and we have All Blacks United and Da Blues FC jumping into the top 10. All Blacks United will be happy to have stopped the rot and moved back up into contention and Da Blues FC are a new side into the top 10 for the first time. Are current champions 3Ks are dropping badly now though, can manager Gramian stop the slide? They have dropped to a new all-time low of 25th! It’s amazing how times change, earlier in the season the Lords of Asgard were down in the doldrums and close to the bottom of the league, now they are up to 29th and in touching distance of our current champions. Manager Rosant has turned it around brilliantly. Down at the bottom it was big rounds for Xcellento FC and Big Ballerz who record 60 and 68 points respectively. Both look like they will be upwardly mobile moving forward. We mentioned last week we were worried about Blackenbrecher and Bathgate Bloodnuts and it seems are fears are being realised, both teams again drop closer to the bottom. But it seems like Thunder FC might be turning a corner, they picked up a decent 49 points to hold in 36 and prevent dropping further into the mire and are now only a point behind Grace and Flowers. Manager Julie M is going to have to be careful not to be dragged into the relegation dogfight. In scouting news the top players that are top coming in are:
It’s a funny one with Niasse this week, after a good run of form he has jumped into teams but the news this week is that hes been banned for two games for simulation. Opps, some managers need patience clearly. Beware of kneejerk reactions. ---- Apologies for being a little late all, have been unwell and away with work all at the same time. Cheers, Tom
