AuthorJeffEyesRimmer The new season has started and in Gameweek 1 we had a great start to the League campaign. Some of those teams tipped to be challenging for the title have already rushed out to an early lead. There have also been some unexpected sides that have won some high scores, surprising us here at Football Outcast HQ, but their managers will certainly be pleased. So who are the movers and the shakers in Gameweek 1? Our early league leader is All Blacks United and manager Amin, showing that you can support a completely different sport but still know a thing or two about football. The All Blacks lead the league on 86 points with Sergio Aguero providing a top rating 18 points.
Right behind the All Blacks are the 3Ks, just as predicted, on 85 points with manager Gramian picking up where he left off last season. The 3Ks are putting pressure on the early leader and the leagues current champions are certainly looking good to retain their title already. In fact the top five teams are separated by only 4 points, with Florence the Eagle, Wanyama Believe it, Koom and Coutihnhool all in the 80 points range. A top effort for the first weekend of the season managers! Teams that won over 58 points this Gameweek scored above the average and their managers can be pretty happy with their first round showing. Manager Featherston of Gunners Down Under was very pleased with his first Gameweek showing; the rookie manager said ‘I don’t know what im doing but im happy with 73 points!’ Down the other end of the league it’s been an opening weekend to forget for Klavan a Laugh and Lords of Asgard. Mangers Sing and Rosant only picked 37 points each this time around. As above those managers below the 58 point average will have to rethink their tactics moving forward. We are sure that those managers will be looking at their teams in greater detail over the next few weekends and ditching those that are not performing. Speaking of players that performed; Hegazi, Erikson, Salah, Lukaku and Vardy were some of the higher performing players this round. Moving forward and looking at the fixtures teams with United, Liverpool and Leicester players might be looking like good scoring opportunities, while the fixture between Spurs and Chelsea may mean potentially lower point’s scores there with those teams potentially cancelling each other out*. ---------------------- If you want to send in some quotes on how you are doing and be featured in the future please send us an email. Cheers all. *we here at FO HQ do not take any responsibility for changes to your team and subsequent lack of points based on our opinion. You can see where we are situated in the league and it shows we don’t know much.
