AuthorJeffEyesRimmer Yes we won an award! Before going into our blog and the award I would like to take the time to talk about the great blogger that selected us for the Blogger Recognition Award in the first place - Stylishmaze, a fashion, photography and, my particular favourite, architecture blog. Stylishmaze started her blog originally on Instagram and progressed to writing on other social media platforms before founding stylishmaze.com. Her website is very stylish and there is a tonne of great content to view and after chatting with each other on emails I am looking forward to more architecture topics in the future. Thank you to Stylishmaze for selecting us for the award and please go check out her page at https://stylishmaze.com/ So over the Blogger Recognition Award – yes I can’t believe we were selected for an award either. The award itself is an online award that is offered by bloggers to their fellow bloggers and it’s great to be given a level of recognition from the community. This award has come at a great time for us too, with our 1 year anniversary almost upon us and also with me going away for 2x months, it really makes me look forward to coming back writing again. So why did we start the Football Outcasts? Well a little known fact is that there are actually three Outcasts, myself (Tom), Joe and Carl.
Joe started it all off originally on Twitter with his mate Carl over in NZ a few years ago. Both Joe and I wrote for the guys over at Sporting Mad, which is generally about all different sports. However, after a while and a few chats in the pub, Joe and I wanted to write purely about football and so our website was born just under a year ago. I really haven’t been blogging for too long so I’m not sure what level of advice I can give. But I would say you should write about what you are interested in and find your own style of writing. Don’t be overly concerned with traffic numbers and clicks because you stop writing what makes you happy and only what brings in clicks. I would say to always try to remember why you started writing in the first place and if while you are writing you find it boring or difficult to write it will come across like that to the readers. So it’s time to pass on the award to others and after having a look through a number of blogs submitted I think the recognition award should go to the writers below. I really enjoyed looking through them all guys and gals and will be looking forward to more of your great content. So the winners are: https://bloggingwithbayless.blogspot.com.au/ A great blog about teaching and I found the disruptive thinking article really interesting and something that can be applied in work life too not just the classroom. http://wanderingcerebrations.com/ Awesome blog that has various topics and its really user friendly. Loved the article on borders of countries. http://moneyrookie.com/ Money makes the world go round, always interesting to read about various aspects of business. Enjoyed the most recent article on 5 investment sites, need to look more into these myself. https://touchlineviews.com/ A fellow football blogger, its always interesting for me to read other peoples thoughts on the beautiful game. Enjoyed the weekly football fix articles, no idea how you find the time but good reads guys. http://myfootprintsaroundtheglobe.com/ A very cool travel blog with plenty of lovely pictures. Makes me quite jealous of all the places they visit. https://www.mamazou.com/ A different take on the parent blogging that I see quite a lot of and the article about getting a new puppy and issues around having another child was quite personal and a great read. Congratulations and its over to you guys to pass on the award to who you think deserve it. Thanks again to Stylishmaze and hope you enjoy our stuff. |
